The top piece is rivetted to the car. Bottom piece is removable.

Trinityhk has blacked out his window trims. I've seen it in person and it looks good. But it's a PITA to take those off.

I like the blacked out chrome. Looks nice and would look good on your car *IS350*. But it does sound like a hassle since you have to remove rivits for the top.

Would he mind sharing how he did this? Did he have a shop paint them? I'm going for the "no chrome" look, I'd love to know.

yea im pretty sure he had a shop do it along with his custom House of Colors Blue paint which, by the way, looks amazing.

I'd also like to know how much work is involved here. Ever since I got my F-Sport wheels, I've been thinking about getting rid of all the chrome. I already ordered the black pearl emblems and will get the painted grille as well.

I agree, chrome is wack. After I get my grill done, the only part left that is chrome is the lug nuts, exhaust tips, and window trim.

Why not use black vinyl? It will be removable too. Just need one long strip.

just mask and spray
shouldn't be too hard to mask coz its mostly straight line and small curves
+ those areas are unlikely to get scratched up
