Default Roof spoiler became loose

My roof spoiler doesn't stick to the glass anymore on the left hand side, is there some kind of glue I can use to stick it back on? I really hate to have to remove the whole thing and redo the 3M double sided tape again, guys who did that know what I'm talking about (it's a real pain in the **** by the way). The right hand side still holds good.

Really hard to fix what you have without removing it completely and re-doing it with all new 3M HD tape.

Mine came off just like yours, I removed the spoiler and still haven't put it back on because applying 3M take on it again is a B****.

To me, putting new 3M tape on is a breeze, removing the old one, that is a tedious and messy chore.

I was talking about the whole process of taking it off and putting it back on.

You can always lift up the side that doesn't stick anymore and place a smaller piece of 3M there to bond it. Honestly, I would just take the time to redo it once the right way and be assured that it won't be a problem later down the road.

Yeah, you're right, trying to find a short cut to it isn't going to work properly. Oh well, we have to do it the hard way then. Thanks.

Mine is coming loose also on the edge after being on the car for 5+ years.

I'm thinking about reapplying the roof spoiler with permatex RTV.

the process doesn't take much longer than half an hour and the process doesn't require you to be in any weird position. I would consider this a very easy fix haha

I'm more worried about someone stealing my roof spoiler than it flying off the highway.

Spend the time to do it right the first time so you don't face unforeseen circumstances in the future.

OP I would just remove the entire spoiler and redo the install with new 3m tape. There is no real short cut to this process. I know some members have tried to use a different type of tape like loctite but the results have varied.

Also I would do it right away. Depending on where you live, I wouldn't want the left side not sticking to the rear glass to be an open invitation for thieves to steal the spoiler.

Good luck.
