Default What the heck is this noise?!?!?!?

Ok...so I get in my car today and as Im driving, I hear this ANNOYING squeeking sound in the back. First I thought that the back windshield was loose but that wasnt it. I made my friend sit in the back and listen to it but he couldnt tell what the sound was or where it was coming from..ANyone else have this same sound issue? Is it possible I can go to the dealer for this and will they fix it? Cause everytime i went to the dealer for my previous car, the problem never showed up. SO ANNOYING!!!!

i hear it also but it only happens when the weather is hot, i thought it was coming from the back also, then i closed the shade on the moonroof and the sound was muffled, it may be something with the sunroof!

Yes, its exactly what happen in my car also. the noise is gone when I closed the shade of the moonroof. I also have some rattle sounds in the middle of the dashboard too.

The air vent for the front windshield is the typical cause of the dashboard squeak (which I get very rarely on hot days). If you hear the squeak, try holding down the vent, and see if the noise stops. If so, then you know what to address...

Some people have found the sunroof squeaky, and this is a simple lubrication fix. Try opening the sunroof if the squeaking persists, and it you find that it is the cause, just bring it to the dealer for lubrication...

I had an annoying rattle/squeak sound coming from the rear. The service department fixed it and said the passenger side c-pillar molding wasn't clipped in properly.

Oh, I think I can add some light to this thread. The squeking you hear sounds like that it may be coming from the lower, mid, part of the back glass. Well, what is right next to the glass? The rear brake light.

When I had my windows tinted, they removed the rear brake light and I installed the brake light overlay at that time. When I put the brake light back on, I was a bit taken back how it secured into the holding clips. It does secure, but not very tight as you would expect.

When I had that squeeky sound every now and then, I did some trouble shoooting. I removed the brake light for an afternoon and no squeek. Once it was put back in place, the squeek occurred every now and then.
