With subdued joy.... 2008 IS250
... I finally got a car. For those that remember, I posted about the troubles I went through when I first special ordered my IS back in February. Much to my disapointment I found out earlier this month that my car wouldn't be built till October even though I sent in a new order on June 14th.
Frustrated at how I couldn't get an 2008 IS 250 MT that was assured to me, I decided to get an 250 AT instead. It's actually not that bad, and I"m glad that I finally have my car after waiting so long. I didn't really care for the Premium, Preferred and 18s, but I got tired of waiting and the price wasn't half bad either
I want to say thank you to Pamela Contzen for stepping in and clearing up the issues I've had with that particular dealership and for being such a big help to me. Her understanding and willingness to make it work was such a relief and is exactly what I expected when I chose Lexus above the other manufacturers.
So here's what I have:
2008 IS 250 AT Starfire Pearl
Nav
Premium
Preferred
HIDs
18 inch wheels
Finally....

Hooray! You have your car!!!!
I'm sorry that you have some disappointment. It's upsetting when you don't get exactly what you want. I hope you learn to love it and have all the luck in the world from now on.
By the way...it's beautiful!

Thanks everyone I'm quite happy with it so far. My only gripe is that I'm not too smooth with the breaking with it yet. After driving a MT for the past 10 years, I'm used to really smooth stops without worrying that the car will lurch forward since I'm usually in Neutral by the time I come to a complete stop. Oh whelps it's a minor gripe, but the GF is already complaining about it
I would love to. I'll have to find my camera tomorrow and take some day time pictures. The finish is very nice, I've gotten compliments already on the street.
Sorry but no. I'm still digging the wheels.
MSRP: 38,132
My price: 32,309
Good luck
It's a warning screen that disappears after 5 seconds without any prompts from you.
