Do you currently have another vehicle? I'm not sure what kind of deal you'd get, but waiting a year without vehicle is a long time.

So you're going to wait to save maybe a $1000 or less.
Chances of getting a crazy deal with Lexus is remote.
Get an '08 when you want and can,IMO.
The '09's will be the same and most likely will cost more.
Driving a '98 Camry after a IS350 has got to be rough.

Man, you guys are really giving some bad advice here.
Given this guy's potential insurance premium, that 98 Camry might be exactly what he needs to be driving for a while, as he tries to get his cost down with a few years of incident free driving...

I drove a 91 Acura Legend from 97 to 05. It was great, with low depreciation, still enough power, and reliable as can be. I still have it because it still drives great after 145K miles and is worth more to me than the bluebook value.

In any case, if your dad really wants to treat you to another car, why not try another flavor now that you've had the IS? New A4? I'm really liking the way the new Caddy CTS looks too.

Two reasons...

1) I believe he's the guy that flipped while driving through some sprinklers.

2) Given the drivers we have on this forum...

I suggest you should wait for the IS-F!

He's talking about getting an '08 in months not years.
