Would it be possible to special order Mark Levinson without navigation?

Would Mark Levinson sound worse and have less features (listening positions, EQ) on a non-navi compared to it with navi?

I know the standard non-navi, non ML sound system allows you to only adjust treble, mid and bass. I know on the navi + ML sound system you can adjust treble, mid, bass and subwoofer. You can also play DVD's with the navi+ML.

I don't think you can order ML without Navi. ML comes with a DVD player and you wouldn't be able to watch videos without the screen that comes with Navi. Also, I don't think you can adjust the subwoofer level with ML, just the overall bass level.

While Navi, rear backup camera and bluetooth are nice features I will hardly use them so it's not worth $2500 to me. Good sound on the other hand is a must for me.

This is incorrect. You can order ML without Nav, it is on the Lexus Option List. It will probably be a special order, but it can be done. MSRP is $940.

Not according to my local Lexus salesman.... but on the other hand, what do they know?!

Pineapple, if you plan to keep the car for a long time getting Navi might me a good idea. You might not really need it now but who knows... you might need it in a couple of years.

I have ML w/o nav. All the 350's sold here are like that, maybe the 250's too.

When you press the "AUDIO CONT" button is there an option to adjust subwoofer (besides treble, mid, bass)? When you press the "P.SEL" button are there any new preset EQ's beside POS Driver, POS All, Front, Rear?

I have ML without Nav, like sykocus said, it's how they sell it here. I tried getting Nav option but the dealer said they "can't" install it.

Actually the Mark Levinson audio package (option ML) doesn't come with the DVD player, only the ML/Nav combo package (option VN) does. People will often look at the pricing sheet and ask why it is cheaper to buy the ML (Mark Levinson) and NV (navigation) options separately than to buy the combination (VN) package -- that's why.

My special order 08 is ML without Nav, for several reasons that'd probably offend the folks who bought nav so I won't mention em :P

But it says several places that the ML (without nav) option plays DVD audio. I've been since told by several folks here it does NOT do so, despite Lexus claiming it does a few places. I"ll be bringing this point up with them after the fact though since they've advertised it does so in print, on the web, and elsewhere for a couple years now.

That just goes to show how much you can believe the sales person at your local dealership. He told me that you could not get ML without Navi.

This also reminds me of something else. When I went there to test drive an used IS350 I noticed that the left rear tire had very bad uneven wear. The sales guy went and got a person from their maintenance department to look at it and he said: This tire was probably up front and car's allignment is probably off and that's why the uneven wear. At the time I didn't know that the IS350s come with a staggered setup and believed the guy's explanation. Now thinking back I realize how full of s#@$ that guy was.
