The back seat itself does not fold down. There is only the ski-sized pass-through located behind the middle armrest in the back seat.

A 6 ft tall box can fit through if it is less than 8 inches wide/tall...

if you plan to take the old exhaust home, then you should get a truck; otherwise, just take out the new exhaust from the box, then it'll fix your trunk.

Yea I was kinda disappointed by that too... I really done see any reason why they couldnt have made those rear seats fold down.

I was able to put my HKS exhaust in the trunk prior to installation. It was out of the box.

However, I had to leave the stock exhaust at the mechanic's. I have yet to pick it up...

Worst thing about the IS in my opinion is no folding seat. Doesnt really cut down on storage space cause you can use the back seat, but it does cut down on the size of stuff you can carry big time, not to mention the rear leather isnt protected as well when filling the car up either. Only thing that gets me through this downfall is trying to convince myself that it is quieter in the cabin because of more isolation from the trunk even if it may not be true.

you have the ski bag whole in the back seat you can use that. I always use that for fishing rods.

I assumed it makes the seat less comfortable if it can fold. But, as my other car is a Honda Pilot, it's not a feature I needed.
