Ahh i see. I do not believe punching and resetting the pin is an obstacle.

The major obstacle is removing the accelerator pedal.

For your reference, I have edited the original post with a sample picture of a pin punch tool for the removal and reset of the pin.

As you can see, my post is to be used with conjunction of the OEM Install Manual. I am just adding additional pictures on How-To remove the accelerator pedal.


I have read on CL that some members have taken 2 hours to install these pedals. However, for me, it took 30 minutes or less. It merely boils down to the technical experience of the installer.

has any one tried useing a small vise to get the pin out....well ill have my car audio guys do it tomorrow at work..

doubt it. you can try tho.. but you need to knock the pin out.

=( my car audio guys at work couldn't do it.. so i guess im go buy the angle wrench and try this myself...and the pin is hollow i see..so i need an exact fix to knock the pin out... and if i knock it out a lil bit will i be able to pull it out with pliers???

My pin pushed out to the right, the hole is tapered.

i did it i feel like i can do anything...thanks tundra for this diy ...would of never been able to do it with out that angle socket wrench...i found out u need a 1/8 punch to get that pin out... if any one needs help in so cal ...hit me up "pm"

no problem. the biggest obstacle is removing the pedal assembly. after that, getting the pin knocked out and reset should be simple IF u have the right tools. glad it worked out for u.

it isn't that hard at all. I might sound harder than you though. I take me less than 30 mins to complete it.

They have a GB going on now
