Exclamation Auxiliary Audio Input Port Noise TSIB L-AU001-07 Finally Released!

For all those who have noticed the electrical noise issue when running audio through the aux audio input, as of August 10th, 2007 there is officially a TSIB to fix it! Looks like they are putting an in-line filter in to clear that issue up. This fix is for the '06-'07 IS250/IS350, the '07 ES350, and the '07 LS460. It is TSIB #L-AU001-07 NOISE FROM AUXILIARY PORT WITH EXTERNAL DEVICE

I have attached the .pdf to this post and will also be posting this info in the other appropriate Lexus car forums.

I have the vaistech SLS installed, would the dealer void my request for this TSIB ? I'm assuming that since the SLS is basically plug-and-play, it shouldn't matter. Well I hope so...again, thanks for heads up on another TSIB.

Thanks, but I've never had any background noise with my 80 Gig iPod. But I don't charge it while in the car, either.

So, this is for any ringing/tonal sound that occurs with using an iPod or satellite radio?

Thanks Ben for all these TSB's where are you getting them? I'm glad you are posting them though, it helps alot for those that wouldn't know otherwise.

I'm using the ram din cable and don't charge my ipod in the car since it lasts long time, I have never heard any port noise at all. I am really happy with my iPod connection.

Got em from the www.techinfo.toyota.com site. I bought a subscription for a day and have been all over it!

Hopefully is easy enough for the dealer to do without causing rattles or breaking stuff.

No doubt you've been downloading like a madman...

If you want to see something really cool - click on the training link. On the right hand side at near the top you'll see a link New Model Technical Previews. It covers a wide range of models with animated graphics explaining the fundamentals of a number of systems on the cars. The LS600h is especially interesting. Anyway, I think those training materials alone are worth the $10 admission for a day. But I have an annual scrip, so I can peek at it whenever I need wherever I have an Internet connection and a browser (although it does seem to like IE best ).
