Well the car sounds great only thing that worries me is that I found a broken plastic peice on my seat when I got home. Was that the part that they had to order? They probably broke something. But checked for anything loose or any rattling and none so far. (knock on wood).
That's good news now that a ground loop isolator is no longer needed!

Good info Ben!

Has anyone in Canada had this done yet? I'd like to have this done as well because the noise drives me crazy.

I just called and scheduled as I also use a sirius tuner in the console and the whine is so annoying. The dealer didn't have any of the parts in stock so they ordered them for me and will call once they arrive so I can get it fixed. This was the biggest complaint I've had about the car so far.

Anybody know if the 08s have this "fixed" already or if I'll need to have them do it on mine when it arrives in a couple weeks?

I would guess that TSIBs like these would come fixed in the next years model, but you never know...

Yes all TSIB's are covered under the manufacturers warranty.

Well, there are a few ways:
  1. Regularly call the dealer and ask them to check
  2. Pay $10 for a day and a half at TIS and search and check for them yourself
  3. And finally the best way: Read CL as often as you can and sit here and chat with all of us and together as a group we will keep all informed of the important things (which include much more than TSIBs, for example all of llamas jokes!)

Default I just got it done this weekend...

And the sound quality from the aux input is now extraordinary!

The ringing tone is gone whenever I use an iPod or my XM radio unit. The quality of music is more "pure" with less distortion. Definately was a huge difference.

I highly recommend getting it done if you're a music afficionado!!

I had it done last week and I agree it made a big difference.

Also got a synthetic oil change for $58 at the dealer which I thought was a decent price.

So I got this TSIB done and I am pretty sure there is no more sound distortion. My ipod charger is a POS (does not sit in plug properly, doesn't charge), so I wanna get a new one. I like the Belkin with the line out which would reduce my clutter down to one cord. Anyone with the TSIB done have any better recommendations for a one cord system?

It is TSIB #L-AU001-07 NOISE FROM AUXILIARY PORT WITH EXTERNAL DEVICE

I have attached the .pdf to this post and will also be posting this info in the other appropriate Lexus car forums.
Is just in the state or canada also
