I have an IS350 with sunroof. Recently, my sunroof is rattling when going on bumps. I don't know what the hell is making it rattle. It is very annoying and bugging the hell out of me. Anyone have the same problem here??

I called Lexus and they say it is normal while the car flexes on bumps causing it to rattle. I am like WTF?? Is that BS or what??

Mine did the same thing... It happens when the sunroof is tilted and it's the drip guard causing it. (the piece of plastic that pops up when you tilt the roof) I went to my dealer, showed them exactly where the rattle was coming from and they fixed it.

i heard that this problem can be fixed by "lubing" the sides of the roof..

Don't let them tell you it's "normal," because it's not. I had this same issue, brough it up with my service advisor, and they actually had to replace the whole thing.

It is weird that it only rattles when the moonroof is half open. IF this continues, I am asking Lexus to check it out and they better not charge me for it.

It is an easy fix.

Use this on all the rubber seals and the rattle will be history. I used it and my car is silent. MAKE SURE you get the 3M WET TYPE (picture). Any other lube may be more damage.
