K&N Oiled Filter or AEM Dryflow Filter
I have the K&N intake but its already time for me to replace the filter. I know I can clean it but it is just way too dirty and I was thinking of going with the AEM Dryflow airfilter. I have been hearing that Oiled Filter can cause damage to the MAF senosr. Is this true? Should I go ahead and order the K&N filter or the AEM? I appreciate the help.

I had a K&N drop-in filter on my previous vehicle. It worked great, but when I re-oiled it after cleaning I got the MAF problem soon after. I followed the re-oiling directions to the letter, so it was frusturating to have to replace the part. I've heard that the MAF can be cleaned if you know what you're doing, though.

A dry filter is much easier to work with but since you already have the k&n you might as well use it.
As long as you don't over oil the filter the MAF will be fine.
