Default Tpms

Hello,
This is my first car and experience with TPMS. This morning it was quite chilly 3degrees C or 39F. My RX was fine.
My wife left later and the IS the TPMS light was on in the dash; she checked the tire pressure in all four tire- three read 30PSI and the drivers front was 29PSI. Due to this air was added to the driver's tire.
After about 5 minutes of driving the annoying light in the dash disappeared.
Is this normal behavior for the TPMS or should I be on the look out for something else?
Thanks in advance,
Chris

No that is normal you just had a low tire that's all nothing to worry about. The TPMS are set that under 30PSI the dash light comes on. The light disappeared after the sensor took another reading and sent it to the "brain"

normal thing to happen...for some reason when the weather changes one of my tires decides to lose a little pressure...is 30 psi the recommended for that truck though?

Whenever the weather gets cold the tire pressure drop, open your your driver side door and there would be a sticker with your car's set psi for front and back tires. You can ignore it for now I guess once the tires warm up from a nice drive the light should disappear.

30psi is pretty low for the other tires as well, they should be quite a bit higher than that (35psi Front, 38psi Rear).

Default Normal, but you should probably add some air

The rule of thumb is for every 10° Fahrenheit change in air temperature, your tire's inflation pressure will change by about 1 psi (up with higher temperatures and down with lower).

Here's a link from Tire Rack about tire pressure Tire Tech Information/Air Pressure - Tire Inflation
