My gas mileage sucks also. My Z06 got better gas mileage in the city and on the highway. The display says that I get between about 28 to 31 mpg during highway driving, but the range to empty does not support that @ all.

In regards to a comment made earlier about "you should not have bought it if that was important to you". I don't agree with that at all. Just b/cuz I can afford to put gas in it with the crappy gas mileage, doesn't mean that I want to, especially when the rating is something that was a big part of my decision to buy. I still like the car, I just hate seeing "the little needle" go down so fast now! I do drive the car very easy.

Just want to make sure you know that the range to empty is calibrated to show 0 miles with a ~2 gallon reserve.

I actually check the calibration of my TANK AVG during each fillup. It is pretty much accurate down to the decimal point. The best way to tell is to reset your trip odometer on fillup, and divide by the number of gallons on your next fillup (do not overfill).

City and Highway makes a huge difference.

I use Cheveron premium and on a full tank, i get about 300mpg for city driving, but about 350+ or - for highway driving.

This is the same as 24.76 miles per gallon. I knew my engineering degree would help me one day in the ClubLexus forum.

You're complaining about 21.4 when I'm getting 16-17 mpg?? Is it me or is the display not accurate?

I wish I was getting 20mpg. I've never been past 15mpg and I've been getting 13.5ish for the past 2 months. I don't get more than 200 miles per fillup. Maybe its because the car has a little over 1000 miles on it, have had the car since october 2006, and drive it about 10 miles a day. 5 miles to school and 5 miles back in notorious L.A. traffic.

the gas prices are ridiculous.
Pretty much what I get.. I'm more like. 10 - 15 ... I've gotten 8's and 9's before lol... Oh well, NYC Life is expensive..

Current = 14.9
Gas $$$ = $3.49 ( SHELL V-POWER )

Now I dont feel so bad. I have had the car for a week now and I am at 21.5 MPG. I havent really beat on it yet, so it will probably drop if I do.

Not too far of a cry from my 02 WRX. I could baby that thing and I would get the same MPG as if I beat it -- 23.5.

We will see I guess.

We run about 60% town (although much of it is at 45 to 50 MPH) and 40% open highway, where I've been known to have the red ring showing a bit!

How is that possible? If I even breathe on the gas pedal at a red light, my "Current MPG" shows at about 8. My average with 1900 miles is around 19.8 now and I never red line, drive faster than 65, and ease on the gas at red lights.

i wonder if driving an iS250 auto vs 6mt would make a noticable gain in fuel consumption?

What's everyone's def of driving lightly? When I'm around the city and I'm not in a rush my RPMs rarely go over 2.5 and I'm averaging 23-24 in my 350 (self calculation)
