Default "WOW, I had no idea it did that!"

I'm sure most of us IS250/350 owners here were on this site day in and day out before we made our purchase. Most of us who were probably under the impression that we knew 99% about the car before we even test drove it.

I wanted to start a thread for owners to share their "Wow, I had no idea it had/did that!" observations.

I'm sure the owners, and the soon to own, could benefit.

I'll start (I have the Lux package)

*I didn't know it had the button on the dash that circulated the cabin air through charcoal filters. The cycle takes 3 minutes to purify your air.

*I didn't know the side mirrors were auto dimming and heated.

*I didn't know the "snow" button and "power" button made such a difference!

*I love the "I'm hungry" voice command!

ok...i'll leave more to others!!

Sorry I knew everything in your list except for the last one. I'm still in the negotiation process for my IS. All things related to cost and prices (ex. keys, oil and filter changes, services, etc) are obviously unknown to me.

By the way, Kickin8's answer does not conform to the had/did that! rule.

Instead of cash (which is boring), let's make it interesting with a bottle of Don Q Gold Reserved Rum from Destilería Serrallés!

so you may also not know that you can set that ring to glow at a pre-determined speed. i have mine set at 76mph so it lets me know when i'm in "ticket territory" with a 65mph speed limit. same with the tach

i set it using the buttons to the lower left of my steering wheel that look like this < 0 > its the same buttons i use to set my park assist and AFS.

i forgot what its called though....maybe someone can help?

In North America they only wind down. (safte feature so they say) In other parts of the world they go up and down. I think there is another thread about this. He is in Australia so they probably go up and down.

You wouldn't be a rummy would you? I love and cherish the stuff and I'm always looking for the next gold find. Love to hear from you. I presently have 14 bottles on hand and usually average somewhere in that area. Picked up a new one made in Mexico down the Yucatan way. Aged 10 years and I'm sipping a spot of it right now...

Oh yeah, keep it Lexus........so anyway I put the stuff I purchased today in the truck of my beautiful Lexus IS250. It fit perfectly inside the cargo net that came with the car...d So for any of you out there who wonder if 4 bottles of excellent rum will fit I can eliminate your fears. Yes they will
