go as dark as you can (still legal) on the have the back window really dark.
Get the clear bra on the side mirrors too. There should also be little parts on the fender above the headlight and on the bumper. My clear bra has saved my paint many times.
Enjoy

A) Tint shade depends on your car exterior and interior color. Darker exteriors call for darker tint, and lighter exteriors shouldn't go too dark. Black interiors will make the tint look darker, so take that into consideration as well.
B) Clear bra as much of the exterior as possible. I've seen it done to the bumper, hood, front fenders, side mirrors, and even door edges. Even the interior wood trim should be done as well. (We have a great hook-up here in SoCal... Thanks AeroTech!)

Oh then go dark!!! 5% in the back, 35% in the front! or if you only like the even effect, Im pretty sure 35% all around would be very nice!
BTW, where in CA are you?

I have 25% all around and it looks GREAT. 20% would probably still be okay but I definately would not go any darker than that!! Not even in the back.
As for the clear bra... I don't have one. I'm deciding if I want to get one - they are expensive!! I know I should, though.

get as much of the front as you can. Get the one that is computer generated (not completely custom). it should include 2 feet of the hood/fenders, front bumper, side view mirrors. As for tint I got, 20% back/backsides and 35% front.

I know I got ripped! My dealer charged $599 for the clear bra... when I picked it up, they only did the hood and mirrors. I asked why not the bumper and the jerk says that no one does that! 4 months later... I need to touch up paint on the bumper

I got my clear bra done by Premier. All the guys there are very friendly. They recommended doing hood/fenders, front bumper, side view mirrors, which I did. It took about 3 hours to complete and it was well worth the wait as the result was perfect. As part of the service, they told me to come back in a week or two for a follow up...and I did. They inspected the clear bra again for any imperfections and gave it a nice coat of wax. Overall, the experience was great.

if i'm not mistaken, i read somewhere on here that there's a certain tint film that affects radio reception and maybe navi... premier offers ceramic and non matallic. i think they said if i go darker... i would be getting the non matallic. does anyone know if that's that one that affects radio/ navi?
