Default Tsib El003-07

Anyone noticed a problem with their navigation system that required this TSIB to be performed? The TSIB introduction says the following:

some customers may experience a condition where the voice recognition component of the navigation system will add additional words or phrases when responding to a city or street name input via voice recognition. A special DVD map disc with a revised operating system has been developed to remedy this condition.

What version is the DVD that has this updated OS?

I think I got that problem with my navi, too. Whenever I say the phone numbers to my navi, it adds additional numbers to it. I'll call them to see if this TSIB covers it.

I'm just saying that our navigation system firmware has had some pretty bad bugs... The entire 2006 production year has a problem with locking onto satellites... Isn't that the main function of a GPS? I can't think of a more serious bug...

And now this...

My advice is that if you use the voice recognition (or "try" is a better way to describe it), then yes, you should definitely get it fixed... But personally, I NEVER use the voice recognition, so I will not get the "new" disc... Which probably has even more new bugs and faults on it...

Hmm... my nav system has had no problem locking me in here in houston. And, the voice recognition is DEAD ON 99% of the time for me. My only problem is when I am giving a street number that has a "zero" in it. It always thinks I said "zero" twice... as in if the address is 1407 it thought I said 14007. But, other than that I've had no problems.

Yeah, I've had some problems as well. How do you find out where what plant your car is manufactured from?

Id say that you should look into this TSIB! That sounds like exactly what the fix is for.
