Just purchased Lexus Chrome wheels.

Now I am going to order Winter tires and mount them on the wheels that came with the car. (I think)

However, the tire guy suggested that 17's would be better for Winter tires.

What to do.

Do I sell the 18" wheels and buy 17's or do I just buy 18" tires?

18's are fine in the snow, and the 17's aren't fine lookswise.

You'll survive with 18's. Just get good snow tires.

I have the chrome 18s and love them! Have never driven in the snow, but I def dont think you should get 17s in place of these rims!

For snow tires, 17" will be sufficient. But if you have an extra set of 18" laying around, I say, hey, why the f ck not. Go with 18's if you got them. 17's if you gotta buy it.

If 17's, go with the 06+ GS 17" wheels. Those are affordable.

Just stick with the 18's and put the snow tires on them. They probably just want to sell you wheels.

If it were me I would buy 19's for summer and keep the 18's for winter w/snow tires...But that's me...17's would be fine...you may find a good deal on ebay.
