Sorry about the accident. Cars can be replaced though. It may or may not have been around 20 MPH, but from the description of the accident it sounds like the other party was accelerating being that he thought you had already gone. I can very well see this amount of damage even if the actual speed at impact was only around 20 MPH, because the guy probaly had his foot on the gas and didn't break until well after impact.

OUCH! I so hate to see that... having just had my baby hit I know how that feels. Good thing that nobody was hurt though.

Good luck getting everything fixed.

I'm glad everyone is ok.

Those pics are very painful to look at. That's quite a bit of damage for a 20mph collision. Ouch.

We were talking about it on the way home from the BBQ.....and that seemed like a lot of damage for 20mph....wonder what a high MPH hit would look like

Ahhh!

And I thought my shopping cart damage was bad...

I hope the body shop can perfectly restore your IS .

My dad had a collision accident which damaged his driver side door(thank God he didn't get hurt), and now the door doesn't close like it used to.

But let's keep our fingers crossed that the body shop knows what they're doing.
