It's a prototype unit that was done only for this IS350.

Wouldn't the most basic of all bits of information be needed? ***What year is the car?*** And if it's an '06 like it appears, why would they chose an old-timer and not something updated?

You aren't the only one. I think it looks like azz. May as well have glued on a 1989 gold package to go with the scuffed up interior and shinola steering wheel.

Is the engine actually putting out 316 HP? If so this might explain the 0-60 4.9s runs. Why would Lexus underestimate the numbers in publications? Is there an aftermarket intake system installed in addition to the Tanabe exhaust.?

It would be nice if Lexus offered this mod on the the IS 350/250 and F.

It's a hand built 2006 IS350 Prototype pre-production. It was built sometime in late 2004, early 2005. It costs money to keep changing the car each year. There was a lot of money invested in this car for it's build including the one-off custom fabricated roll cage inside.

Rear tires were selected at the time due to limited availability of wheel fitment for this IS. The car actually performs pretty well for it's duties as a pace car. I've had a chance to ride in the thing at different tracks and it performs hard.

Did TRD provide the tuning for the 350?
