Would staggered wheel setup be OK for IS250 AWD?
I'm trying to put IS350"s 18 oem wheels on my AWD. The front tires are narroer than the rears, so they are staggered, but I'm trying to find out if there will be any problem running on this setup on my AWD. Some says it's OK and others say it is NOT OK.

NO, I mean.. I know that they will fit just fine, but I'm trying to find out if staggered setup will be bad for its AWD system's functionality in a long run, because I think that it would be right to have all same wheels with same traction and weights and let them spin together, but staggered setup will give uneven weights on the front and the rear.

i had a wrx before my IS and for all wheel drive cars you are not able to stagger them that much... the most you would probably be able to do is a 1 inch lip or so... The reason being is that the off set is not the same as a RWD car...
Instead of the staggered look i went with just a lip all around...

here is the pictures of the rims i put on them... this was basically the biggest lip i could get without doing any major mods...

if you guys want staggered look.. why don't you get diff offsets but same diameter and width.. wouldn't that work. I did that on my accord (call me a ricer.. i dont' care) but i had Axis 7 Mod and i had a 2.5" lip rear in the back and 1" lip in the front but it was 18x7.5 all around. hahaha

Derrick at D2 told me NOT to go staggered on my 06 250 AWD. We did the Toyo Proxe 4's bundled with MRR HR1's in a 235/40/18. I've run the Bridgestone OEM 17's & 19's in a Toy Proxe/Falken bundle, and the 18's, non staggered are the right way to go in the midwest. Florida, CA, Texas or ATL with the better roads allow for 19's & 20's. Not here.

How could u have same width tires if they are staggered? Are you referring to different size rims (18F vs19R with same width tires) or same size rims with different widths ? ie 18X8.5F and 18X9.5R will not give you same width tires but you can have same OD (or close) with this set up. On the other hand having 18F and 19R you can have same width rims and look up reference guide for same OD tires that will fit this set up.
