I can't take myself seriously listening to techno/trance/etc...It's so goofy, and I feel like I have drive overly-aggressive and scowl at other drivers when I listen to it.
And sunglasses - one must always wear sunglasses when listening to techno, preferably at night with extremely tinted windows.
Honestly, I like rock/indie sounds (Mountain Goats, Modest Mouse, Bright Eyes, etc...). Something with lyrics, with an interesting sound that changes pace and doesn't sound "over-produced."

hehe I agree about the sunglasses part, but I guess techno people could come right back at you and say to listen to "indie" music one must wear thick brim glasses, hang out at starbucks, and drive a volkswagon jetta.
btw, I love bright eyes.

heheh what is so indie about modest mouse and bright eyes?? I mean **** they are both on major labels that get more airplay then techno. Wouldn't techno be more 'indie' then those groups?
