True.

I've mistaken may Blue Onyx / Black Sapphire cars for black on the freeways. I've only been able to notice the difference when I am up close and in sunlight...

That's what makes it more attractive than black, with these "almost black" colors like the Black Sapphire, you can have a black & a blue car at the same time

Thats why i was asking actually .....i was wondering why i couldn't see any difference on the Lexus color sheet ...... just at rhe right angle though, a slightly blue tint on the BSP.
I misplaced my order sheet on my used 350 and was trying to determine is it is BSP or Obsidian ...... Obsidian i believe!

The Lexus color sheet is the last thing you should trust for an accurate depiction of what the paint will actually look like on the car itself LOL

Yes ..... in low light the BSP, Obsidian AND Smokey Granite Mica all look "black" on the sheet.

I have never seen a BSP and Obsidian side by side ..... thought their was only one "black" in the lineup!!!

Very true.. Therefore, please check your registration.DMV can make a mistake by color code BLK insted of Black Sapphire. When PO PO find out in routine traffic stop, he will gladly to play along with you in Apple and Orange game. That why all my fellow CL Member BSP owners should make sure their DMV Registration Color Code.
Mine is BSP and I was in that shoe before.
