Default TPMS compatibility question????

Is there any way (modifications) to make non-compatible wheels compatible? If not, is there any way to disable the sensors or to make the warning light go away and just not use them anymore? I tried searching for some info on this but couldn't find a definite answer. Thanks a lot in advance.

Any good wheel shop can drill a second "dummy" valve stem hole in the wheel to mount just the sensor.

So if you drill a second "dummy" valve stem hole in the wheel to mount just the sensor, then the sensor would work perfectly? Is that all they have to do? Would the wheel shops do that?
