Default replaced fogs with sylvania silverstar ultras (before after pics)

there's a diy thread on here that is right on the money on how to change them out. Anyways, you can't really tell from these pics, but it does take the yellow out. They are much whiter. I had also bought the silverstar ultra's to replace the ugly ****ing DRL/Hi-Beams, but i read 2 reviews on here and they said that it's so low wattage that it does not make a difference. So I am going to just replace the little parking bulb with and LED and have the dealership shut off the DRL's.

This pic is the driver side already done, and left side fog still stock:

This pic below is stock fog color before swap:

This pic below is after swaping the fog to the silverstar ultra:

hahah.. I wish we had a better option for the DRL's. I am thinking shutting them off is really the best option.

I have to admit that I think I got ripped off by those fog lights.
The story is that I just got the XD 6000K (and I absolutely love it) so I want to match my fog with the HID low beam.

I found the PIAA Plasma Super GT-X that rated 6000K, so I bought it for $90 (included shipping, etc.)

After installed and used it for 2 days, I saw nothing different from my stock halogen. It's probably brighter than stock, but it emits lesser light. Really strange. But, it definitely not worth my $90 bucks and installation time.

So beware, please do not repeat my mistake. I could've use that money for something better.

Many halogen light bulbs that are trying to immitate the look of a HID simply use a filter to block all the light that isn't blueish/bright white. Since halogens produce very little light in that color spectrum, the output is reduced significantly. This becomes VERY apparent when you are driving in the rain. Many of these bulbs run at a higher wattage to try and make up for the difference.
