Default Questions on 19" Rims

Is there a great difference in regards to performance with 19" aftermarket rims/tires compared to our 18" stock rims/tires?

I am on the verge of purchasing some 19" Volks.

Thanks for any info.

IMO, it depends on what brand of rims you get. In your case youre getting Volks, their rims are forged so if anything the 19s will be just as heavy as the 18s if anything lighter...

Before buying 19" rims do some research.

For some reason 18" and 20" tires tend to be less expensive than 19". You could easily pay double for tires for one more inch.

They are either outers or the whole rim, from what Ive read and looked at. If not all forged aluminum, than it will have magnesium too....

The Volk Progressive ME's are seamless forged.

Check the IS250/350 classified section, there was a member who was selling his wheels, Progressive ME's

If you do buy these wheels though, get a good brush to clean all the brake dust off of them! LOL!

The progressive ME's are a 1 piece forged wheel. They're lighter than the stock 18"s and the TPMs will work. However, with the larger diameter, the increased moment of inertia will negate some (if not all) of the benefits of the reduced mass. It's probably not going to hurt at all though.
