I dont know if you guys can help me or not but i was wondering if a IS250 manual transmission bell housing will bolt onto the IS350 2GR-FSE engine? I was looking try convert my 350 into a manual and wanted to know how much work was involved.

yeah it should fit,but fitment isnt the issue.you would have to think about wiring, what computer, and how to control all of your new parts!you can bolt anything together. hell you could even get a custom bell housing and run a supra 6 speed v-box,but without a standalone EMS it won`t work.

people did Auto to Manual conversions in the 3000GT. So hopefully it will work here.
MT cars dont require computers like AT cars, so hopefully, you can just bypass/remove XYZ computers.
get a strong clutch, and a Transmission shield.
While the IS350 is very strong compared to a 250... the 250 MT will probably be able to hold the power. IE, my AWD 99 Eclipse which had stock 150HP-160HP to the ground... did fine when the car had a huge turbo(It put down 266HP on 93 octane@18PSI/ 323HP@104 octane@23-24PSI) .
323AWHP to the ground is a lot more stress on a tranny than 255RWHP(to the ground). I would think that Toyota's 6-spd MT(204HP) is built as strong as a Mitsu 5-spd(210HP)
It will be a hellacious time trying to figure out how to get it to work. BUt I am certain that it can be done. GOOD LUCK

Sorry, but everything you just said about what the tranny may be able to handle is a compelete guess on your part. Do you have any actual facts on what the tranny can and cannot handle? Unless you have some solid facts or at the very least some good evidence, telling someone "it should work" is very bad advise.
Really 260RWHP isnt that much HP. A lot of people seem to think that these cars... a toyota built lexus BTW... are built to the absolute minimum necessary.
Its possible that Lexus's 6-spd transmission will destruct and send gears flying at 260HP.... but higly unlikely.

It's not horsepower that kills transmissions, it's torque. 244 @ 4,400 rpm is not that destructive. I would think the manual transmission in a civic could handle that.
