Default Ski rack recommendations for IS?

Although it has been a very warm winter here in the Phila area, I'm looking forward to getting at least a few ski days in this year.

Anyone have any recommendations for ski racks? Also, do you know if the pass through in the trunk area only works for skis, or will it also accommodate snow boards?

how much did that entire set up cost? i'm looking for something just like that with the tilted snowboard/ski rack. the base rack doesn't mess up the door seal or anything like that?

got the the bar setup from www.orsracksdirect.com (complete q tower setup, cheap!) with their 10% discount and free shipping. the board holder itself i had from my other car and when you buy the holder it comes with extenders so that you can tilt em. and as for the seals it does push em out of the way but nothing major. the door still has a couple of seals to deal with so its ok. and im planning to take em off asap so that it wont mess up my paint.

Looks awesome! I was planning to do it to mine but decided not to. Got myself the X-Package lip instead. I guess I'll still have to bum a ride from my friends when I go boarding.

Check out www.rv-inno.com - Custom Ski/snowboard racks for Japanese cars from Japan. Highly recommended and they look great - curved to the roof-line so it doesn’t look like your going to Home Depot to pick up a 4x8 sheet of plywood, instead of going to the Mtn.

PM me for more info…

Anybody put bikes on the Yakima or Thule? How quickly do they come off the car? I've never had a roof rack, I've always had hatchbacks with fold down seats, but I can't get my Softride into the trunk - just a tad too big even with the wheels off...
