Only if your lights didn't come aimed well from Lexus. The automatic feature does not compensate for poor basic adjustment, it only maintains the same adjustment over a range of conditions, as in, passengers, luggage, etc.
If the headlights are not well aimed with just the driver in the car, then they're going to be bad no matter what.

I'm trying to help my dad adjust his horizontal adjustment on his 03 landcruiser. I can't find anything on any board. Any suggestions.
I adjusted the verticle already with the phillips, but can't find the horizontal.

It the same process for after marker HID's. In the first post the guy had a link in his signature. Click on it and there is going to be a post on there with specific details on how to do it. It is very easy to do.

If you already did it and you didn't count the amount of clicks you would have to point your car on an even road pointing to a wall and adjust your headlights from there. There is no default setting where you can put it back to how it was. Dont worry there is no such thing as doing it wrong. If you went too high or too low then you calibrate it again. This wont damage your HID.

So I finally adjusted my lights. For those with the AFS system, you HAVE to adjust the horizontal adjustment the same amount of turns as the vertical. When I was adjusting the vertical, you can clearly see the horizontal beam move. I placed a couple of markers on the wall before I started adjusting them.

Which way does the horizontal adjustment need to be turned clock or counter-clock?
