Default Tyre Size - Need Help

Just received the set of Lexus ISP Mode Wheels 18x8 front and 18x8.5 rear. Now looking to buy a set of tyres:

1. According to Lexus web site, the front tyre should be 225/40 and the rear 255/40. This means that the total height of the front and rear wheels would be different. Is that ok?

2. I've had a bit of difficult finding the rear 255/40 size locally so I was wondering if putting 265/35 be ok?

3. If I go with the 265/35 for the rear, how about also going one plus size in the front to 235/35?

Thanks

Why would the height be different?

I have a feeling he is referring to the overall diameter being different, which it is by ~1". The easiest thing to do IMHO would be to order tires from a place like Tirerack and have the tires sent to the shop you plan to use. Our tires, especially the rear is not a popular size that is often in stock at local shops.
