Silver Paint for rim scrapes?
I swear i read somewhere on the forums that someone used silver touchup paint on their rim rash and it matched pretty well. I've managed to screw up a couple of my rims and just want them to look decent, not perfect - i'm cheap! read the audi rim writeup, but what color do we use on the 2is? i searched the forums and didnt see a final resolution that didnt involve spending lots of money.

Wal-mart sells a knockoff brand of the same color for like $5. I used it and it matches the stock color pretty darn well.

For my last car I purchased the Acura silver paint to touch up the rims when I scraped them a bit. The colour did match pretty well but the paint was hard to get to adhere to the exposed alloy.

That is my rim pictured in the thread mentioned. Used the Tungsten Pearl touchup on both my rims and it works and matches perfectly. I've redone it maybe once and I wash the car at least weekly. It is a quick fix and makes the rash less noticeable.
