Default 13.68@101.89 with no weight reduction + full tank of gas

The reason why I went to the strip with a full tank of gas because I just refilled my car and wasn't planning on going. I'm sure the full tank slow me down somewhat. As I mentioned in a couple other threads, I think the weather plays a huge role in determine the E/T in our car. Here is the proof, last two times I was at the strip, it was hot in the high 80*F. I even remove the spare tire and the jack and only had 1/4 of a tank to the strip. My best for the first time was 14.0 and 13.8. Last night was the first night that it got cold in south florida, the temp was about 70*F. I think the stock tires hook better in cold weather also. I really think our IS350 can run 13.5 stock in good weather, I will come back to the track if it goes down to the low 50s to try and hit 13.5 bone stock. Here are the results of my 4 runs, I will post up the time slip once I found a scanner.

R/T 60' 1/8 1/4 MPH
run1 .000 2.169 8,950 13.837 100.42
run2 .134 2.159 8.970 13.859 100.45
run3 .058 2.126 8.851 13.680 101.89
run4 .309 2.180 8.968 13.832 101.14

That's good time for a car w/a full tank of gas. What's the elevation of that track?

I left the trac OFF, I don't know what elevation it is but I'm in south florida so it should very close to sea level.

I agree about the weather. My best runs have been when the temps were between 58 and 70 degrees. My first time at the drag strip 300 ft elevation with mid 70 degree temps and 3/4 tank of gas and TC off my best run was also a 13.6@101mph. Nice seeing alot of consistency among all the IS350's on both the track and the dyno. Goes to show Lexus has a pretty good quality control department. Good runs BTW.

Nice consistent runs. What track did you go to? I went to Bradenton about a month and half ago and am looking to go again next month.

thanks guys, I went to moroso motorsport park, worse track in the country. I got lucky this time because it seem like the tires hook very well, I even got a perfect reaction of .000, pure luck.

I agree about the weather, it seems to be VERY sensetive.

I ran the car for the first time at the track this past weekend and my fastest run was in the morning while it was cool ~60 degrees. I ran a 13.735 @ 100.37 mph

I made several passes in the afternoon when both the track and the temps were hotter and the best she would run was a 14.1 @ 99.5 mph. I made several passes and they were all within 0.03 seconds of each other. I will post some of the exact times later.

I was reading the the drag sites that a R/T of .500 is considered perfect since there is .500 of a second between the light changes.

How hot did it get? How much gas? Remove the spare?, Traction Control on? Any headwinds?

Also I believe the lux package is a heavier car than the sport package. LCD screen, more speakers, sub, amp, etc. Do sport package in the state have a sunroof? If not that’s lighter also.

I edited my post above. It was about 60 degrees in the morning and got to about 70+ degrees in the afternoon. I had a 1/2 tank of gas and spare and everything else was left inside the car. TRAC was off. Not too much wind that day, could not say if there was a slight headwind or not.

Just noticed you have the LUX package. I'm starting to see a trend with the LUX vs Sport packages. I wonder if the slightly stiffer suspension and slightly lower ride height is allowing the higher trap speeds for the Sports. 70 degrees you should should still be able to get over 102mph. Also are you driving with ECT PWR mode on?
