Default ARC or K&N?

I'm looking to get an intake for my IS350 and was all set to get the ARC induction box until I saw the price; $800! So that leads me to this question...
Which would you rather purchase? The $800 ARC induction box, which for all I know yileds little to no horsepower gains, or the $300 K&N intake which supposedly adds around 10 Horsepower? I'm seriously leaning towards the ARC just to get that extra JDM goodness. What do you guys think?

Are you kidding? JDM goodness for $500? Nope, can't say that's a brainy idea.

Neither have the horsepower gains to be of value over the stock setup. The oil gauze filters are known to cause intake sensor problems.

They are more for cosmetics than performance.

they wont give you practically any power gains, neither will make you noticeably faster, they just change the sound a little. plus both will be under the engine convers, sooo i'd go for the cheaper one.

R U sure about that? What about the dyno sheet that K&N claimed that they had 11 hp gain? That is a little but still a good hp gain for the air filter, don't you think?

I think ARC is more for race... for street use I will go for either K&N or Fujita although I have JoeZ myself since my IS is just a 250 unlike you have an IS350!!

ARC hands-down... Even if the gains are minimal, they should be similar or more compard to the K&N. Plus, bragging rights!!!

To get the most out of bolt-on mods such as intakes and exhausts you need to have the fuel injection re-mapped to maintain the perfect air/fuel mix. This will take some dyno tuning with an O2 sensor and someone who knows what they are doing.

Stickers give you horsepower... hehe...

I've used ARC products in the past and in many instances, they were able to produce power through their Induction box and piping where othere companies failed. You gotta pay to play... If you have it, do it...

ARC Intake Box on the S2000 made like no power whatsoever, and it was retardedly expensive. But then again, ANYTHING ARC is baller status.

True... I remember this... but then again it made 1-2 horses vs other companies that actually lost power... The S2K is a different animal.. That motor was built so power efficient that it was hard to improve unless it was force induced...
