You will barely see a GOLD IS250/350 on a lot because all the dealer/sales associate know that it will be hard for them to sell it since the color is kinda yuck, they don't even want one to come in to their inventory because no one want to touch it. Not only that happen to IS, same thing to GOLD GS, LS, ES, etc.

has this color on a Buick or Oldsmobile. Including my mother & father, 2 uncles, a grandparent etc....

It simply is the color of choice for Brokaw's "Greatest Generation". Very conservative, hard to see dirt and grime on, and guaranteed to attract no unwanted attention.

The real name for that color is chardonnay pearl or Mystic Gold.
