Visors Sitckers? Pics?
Hey has anyone removed their air bag safety stickers on their visors? IF so how did you do it? Really, why do we need to know that in the event the air bag doest deploy we are going to get hit in the face?

On my 2004 CLK500 there were no stickers on the visors. I only had a removable tag on my glove box saying that this car was equipped with air bags (then I removed the Tag).

My mom's 2003 CLK500 had air bag warnings on her visors... I tried removing the warning on my previous car but the material on the visor was too thin (like every other car...?) so I was afraid of ripping too much of the surface... I wonder if it's safe to try those sticker removal liquids on it...

The Law is pretty detailed on this topic...
1) If you sell it privately, you are expected to sell the car with the stickers. If someone drives the car without warning stickers and someone dies because they did not read the warnings/instructions, you may be liable. If you sold a car without a warning sticker, it may go back to you. You are responsible for selling a "functional" "law-abiding" vehicle. You may be liable to any injury because the consumer was not informed (even if it is "common knowledge" to most consumers). Best thing to do is to sell the car with aknowledgement that you are selling a car without stickers, and have the buyer sign a "release of liability."
2) If you sell it to a dealership, the dealership is required by law to replace those stickers before selling it. They would then be not liable to any injury because the consumer is informed.

If it’s legal, what we need is for some entrepreneur to develop a pad, made out of the same visor material that would have a sticky back that could cover up the stickers, rendering them nearly invisible. Then the pad could be removed when the car is sold.
