try to squeeze an extended warranty and some oil change/service with it, since they are counting it pre owned they should give you some kind of CPO warranty

My brothers TSX used to be a loaner car, it had 12k miles on it, they threw in a 100k mile warranty or 7 years and it was still much cheaper OTD than a new one. Had it for 1.5 years now and no problems

My car is pretty much fully loaded missing maybe 3 options radar cruise, parking assist, and I believe headlamp washers. personally to me 39000 for a 5000 mile car demo sounds bad. Find out what the invoice price on the demo was and work down from that figure as the car has 5000 miles on it. Personally I would try to find a left over IS350 and buy one of those as you can get great deals on them right now.
jus picked one up yesterday. . 40300 otd with no ML.. i got navi and spoiler

get the 06 models they're cheap right now.. if you want i know a guy in tustin

Yes I would never get a demo. I just test drove an IS350. I was using the paddles to shift and thought the car would shift at redline. Well it didnt and I held it there for a couple seconds until I found the upshift paddle. Oh well

Hey Roy! So you got one! Congrats! Premium or Luxury option? Did you get it at invoice?

I wouldnt buy a 40K knowing that it been abuse by many test drivers. But if you really want it, I think you should aim for no more than 39K OTD, heck even try 38.5

What part of Cal are you in and which dealer are you dealing with ?
If you're in SoCal, I know you can do ALOT better than that - '06 IS350's are going for close to invoice to blow them off the lots. And the dealer is fibbing to you, the Golden Opportunity Sale officially ends on Labor Day or at midnite on Sept 4 - I would walk and try another Lexus dealer if I were you . . .

Where did your brother get his TSX? In Vietnam?

well here's the latest.i called other dealers and they all said it was an unbeatable price but one dealership quoted an 06 ml/luxury for 39300. i told the demo dealer and he dropped it to 38000. i dont know what to do. i am really confused. the car looks beautifull and has some 18 inch zennetti black rims. he said i can take take them off if i wanted to but the price would be the same. 38000 is a good price for 5500 miles dont u think? he told me they did drive it around for errands tho. kinda like a used car but i couldnt find one at that price anywhere. what do u think? thanks again

If I were you I'd be sending emails to every Lexus dealership I deemed not too far away and asking for quotes. I got mine in the color I wanted with lux/nav/ml for 40200 a month ago. The '07s hadn't even been released yet, and I didn't even work that hard at it.

I bought an "executive demo" once - a '94 Supra TT hardtop. For one reason only - they only imported a few hundred hardtop TTs total from '93 to '95. I knew I wouldn't find another one. That's not the case here. There are LOTS of new '06s still waiting to move in California.

Seriously, I would email just about every Lexus dealer in CA and tell them what package and colors I'm interested in buying and "give me your best price." I wouldn't even waste time going back to the demo car unless I intended to buy it, and $38k still seems high to me for a car with 5500 miles on it. At that price, I'd want an extended warranty - as if the car were at 10 miles just like mine was when I bought it new a month ago.
