Default HID question

1.) I ordered a MTEC 6000k HID kit for my IS250 and I was wondering where i can get it installed at or if anyone here can do it for me (I live in Fullerton, California). Can i go to the dealer?

2.) Also, how will it affect my warranty issues?

3.) I leased the vehicle for now but I am planning to buy it at the end if nothing goes bad (like accident); But just in case, will I be able to return my car w/o changing back to regular OEM headlights? If I have to change it back... is it possible?

4.) While trying to take off the covers over the engine, i broke one of the black screw like things... where can i buy one?

Hey,
First of all welcome to CL. What part of Cali. are you from?
It should not be a problem as far as warranty is concerned. Even if it caused something to fail, the dealer would still need to prove it failed due to the aftermarket HID kit you had in the car.
Also, it would be in your best interest to remove the HID kit from the car prior to returning your lease. Even if you did not want it anymore. You would not have any problems selling it in the CL classifieds and you would get money back through the sale.
Now finding a place to install it. Thats why I asked you where you are located in Cali. Actually, any qualified car stereo place can install it.
Good luck with the install and post some pics when their in,
-Will

Ya... I just edited and added where i live. Thanks a lot. ^.^

o i have a few more questions....

1.) My friend was taking a look at the bulb and he slightly touched the top part of the HID bulb... how can i clean that? (i was thinking alcohol swab).

2.) It says I have to drill a hole on some plastic part to install the HID... Do i have to buy a new one if i want to change back to OEM lights?

it's really easy to install~ just swap out bulbs and find a place to mount it. Remove stock intake box for the pasenger side and remove the water nozzle for the driver side. Wher ein cali are you?

haha yeah. me~ haha. if you want i'll help you out. btw the drilling, they are referring to drilling the dust covers because once you put in aftermarket HID the wires need to come out of the headlight housing. but i dunno its NOT required, but recommened incase water gets in

I think i rather not drill a hole in my car because I might have to return the car but if I have to I have the drill so its no problem. But, will you be able to do it at the meet? wouldnt it be dark? [Btw... i ment today as in tomorrow because its 12:30am here.. haha]

Also, thx a lot flyfl1pguy... ill call them up if i cant get anyone to do it for me.

If you don't think you can do it just have it done at the shop. I was going to do it myself but I was like nahhh just have someone else do it for me. .
