Better gas mileage, better weight distribution if batteries are in the trunk, and better pick-me-up torque.

If it's similarly priced, I'd go for the hybrid!!!

Looks like I'm a contrarian but I prefer the V8. I'd rather hear the sweet sounds from an 8 than a 6 when accelerating.

Fast car don't fly with hybrid.

And.. this is my opinion only... Japanese does not like 5.0 for some reasons, but looking forward if they make it. It will be a gas drinker for sure.

Personally, I don't get the connection between homos and electric cars.

That having been said, I would prefer the V8 for the sweet music coming from the tail pipes.

V8 for me for a few reasons...

1) The sound

2) Simpler... Less things to go wrong, proven technology and I have no idea if special concerns need to be addressed when modding a hybrid vehcile. (anyone know?)

3) I'd rather have a slight front bias weight distrubtion and be 300lbs lighter

Hybrid is the way of the future. You can change sound with aftermarket installations.

i'd rather have a good solid lightweight aluminum v8.
Hopefully lexus v8s have room for some extra displacement.
