I think people are finding it close to impossible to have them fit, but I think it can be done.

Yeah I did that already. Some people have setups that are similar to what I have in mind, but not exact. I seems to be really hard to get answers from people in this forum. I am not sure if what I am asking has not been done yet or not, all I want to know is what does a sport package look like with 20s on it. I want to run 20x10 rear and 20x8.5 front. Some people claim you need to roll your fenders and some say they do not. I don't know why it is so hard to get a straight answer. I also do not want to run a wheel spacer of any kind so they have to be the correct offset. I refuse to spend thousands of dollars on wheels/tires and have to rig them up to work. So I am considering the Maya STM with black center because I here they make custom offsets if you need it.

what can be that bad? I mean you have some decent meat around the the wheels with 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 so why would it be bad. I had 245/35/19 on all 4 corners of my S4 and it was good. Is there something I am missing, please let me know. Will I have clearance problems.

usually GS guys can fit the 245/35/20 in the front but there is less room on the IS. you're better off going 245/30/20 front with the 275/30/20 rear. just make sure your offsets at least +40 for the rear and about +35 front aussming you're doing 10" and 8.5". either way you will still probably need to modify the fender liners up front.

I am thinking 20s also.. 245/30/20 in the front and 275/30/20 in the rear.. Tire shops around my town seem to tell me that they will fit... When people say you will need to mod the "fender liner" do they mean roll the fender or just heat up the plastic to make more room...

There are too many variables and not nearly enough room to work with to make generalized statements when you're talking about 20's.

1. What offsets do you plan on using?
2. Besides the sizes you mention, which brand and make of tire are you going to be using? Different manufacturers have different ideas of how big (overall diameter) and wide a 245/35/20 should actually be. Goodyears tend to be a little on the skinny side on the tread. BF Goodrich and Kumho tend to run wide.

We have guys running 235/35/19" who complain about rubbing and that's just barely bigger than stock. There are guys running 245/35/19" who say they have no rubbing with even bigger tires. I don't think anyone really knows what to think until we get more people running 20's and finding out by trial and error experience.

If 245/35/20 would not fit then I would rather go with a 235/35/20 than a 245/30/20. I would want as much padding around the front wheel as possible. then maybe a 8 inch wheel would be better than a 8.5. I have not seen anybody using 20x9.5 and 20x8.

I am running 235/30/20 front and 275/30/20 rear with Eibach pro kit on and the only rubbing I have is when I go through a dip too fast and thats only rubbing on the inner fender well!!!! I am not sure of the offset because my wheels were custom made

So does that mean that if I run a 235/35/20 I am going to rub. I really don't feel that comfortable running a 235/30/20 tire because it just looks to thin. Not to mention I would want it to match the diameter of the rear. I assume you guys are running 20x10 and 20x8.5 or 20x8(with a 235 tire).

with a 235/35/20 you will still need to mod the fender liner. im currently using a 225/35/20 and it rub while turning even at stock height.

So all I would have to do is mod the front fender liner to clear 235/35/20? I wouldn't have to do anything to the rear to clear the 275/30/20 I want to run? What would be my ideal offset in order not to need spacers and to avoid rubbing as much as possible?
