Default Generic vs. Philips HID 6000K kit

It's been a month. I still can't decide which HID kits I should go for. Some generic brands cost maybe around $350 included installation with the yellow fog. On the other hand, Philips will cost probably around $530 with the fog but the color is a little bit nicer than some other generic brands. I like the Philips looks a little purple instead of blue. For that $180 difference, I can get myself the Joe Z intake and a drop-in filter (maybe a little more). Is that really worth that much more for getting the Philips? Please tell me what you guys think....

i went from generic 4300, to 6000k, to 5000k then to 6000k PHillips. I like 6000k phillips the best.

Reason being. (My personal opinion compared to the phillips 6000k)

1. 4300k generic is brighter but it looks kinda like halogens just brighter
2. 5000k i had these the longest, the output is descent and it has more oclor to the housing (purplish white)
3. 6000k the ground output is pretty dim but the housing looks ok
4. Phillips 6000k the housing looks great and its funny because its brighter than my 5000k and the 5000k is supposed technically be brighter than the 6000k but its not. So its worth spending the extra money.

btw.. its not THAT hard to install HID espeically the generic kits. the phillips is generally the same.. you just plug a wire into the battery. so i woudln't pay for installation.

No offense, but I actually consider MTEC as generic. Since I've read a lot of posts, the MTEC is actually made in Taiwan just like the other brands and put their stickers on the ballasts. Even tho I know a lot of 2IS owners have that and pretty happy with the result, I will still consider that as a "better" generic brand.

What is the $530? Is it the H11 bulbs or the fog light bulbs? Or is it both for the price of one?

Agree. They're more expensive but it'll be a bargain if another brand craps out and you have to take it out, order a replacement, etc.
