Look at the fifth key down. I've tried to find out more info on this image but with no results. I even went as far as to email them but got no response.

Got any details on it? I've peeked at the security system, and it's not simple to crack without a code generator of some kind or a bona fide key somewhere in the car.

So far, I've never seen a Toyota code controlled ignition that could be bypassed without a chip.

Does this bypass box come with its own remote button? I would hate to carry 2 FOBs around with me. I also think the 10 minute install time is total BS. I figure it could easily take hours trying to access the necessary wires.

Heres a link to manufactures web site for this product.

http://bypasskits.fortinautoradio.co...y-override-sl/

And dont forget even with this bypass you still need to buy a regular remote start modual. This unit is only a bypass for the KEY not the actual remote start unit and FOB. (atleast thats what it looks like from what i read)

So I guess this bypass module would make the car very easy to hot-wire. Why not just tape an OEM key somewhere under the dash?

I haven't had the opportunity to test this, but I think our cars MAY be able to start up without the key, just not shift.

I was having my front windows tinted today, and they tried to move the car without the key. Guy said he could start it but couldn't shift it out of park.

If that's true, an auto start module would only have to trigger the brake, then trigger the start button momentarily to start the vehicle.

I haven't had a chance to test this as I've had a very busy day. I may try to replicate this in the next few days.

I checked with Ryan from Sewell, regarding the Remote Start or Auto start for the ISx50, he said that those are available in Japan & they are having some technical difficulities using this remote start with the IS's in the US. They are trying to find the technical specs and currently do not know how much they will be selling it for.
