Default auto door lock setting

Is there a way to set the IS 250 doors to lock by merely walking away from the vehicle with the keyless control?

Would be neat if you could. But I am sure Lexus just thinks it is too unsafe or something...

i guess its something to get used to. i always keep forgetting to press the little button when leaving. heck i still feel like i need to reach for a key and take it out of the ignition!

this is really funny because if you go and unlock your car say with the fob and don't get in the car after like 30 seconds the car locks it'self back up.

Considering how easy it is for something in your pocket or purse to accidently press the unlock button on the fob, this is a great safety feature.

That is call relocking...which is a little bit different than locking [automatically].

Maybe by looking at the wiring diagrams you could get the car to lock by itself using the same switch as the auto-off lights. I just push the button on the outside of the door handle, that's as intuitive as I need it. Basically I never need to take my keys out of my pocket except to get into my apartment or at work. That trunk lid button is brilliant.
