Opinion on the location of 12V+ and grounding for XenonDepot kit install?
Hello,
I am planning to install xenondepot HID kit this coming weekend.
I did a search and stumbled at this excellent write up here:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...=xenon+install
However, I am trying to find where to tap on 12V+ terminal and where to ground the kit on the vehicle. I can not find any picture that zoomed in to the locations.
Of course, the battery positive terminal can be used (by inserting the Xenon Depot lead ring into the battery positve clamp and tighten). But Lexus Dealer may notice that the vehicle has been modified, and may refuse any warranty work if electrical problem arises in the future.
So I'd rather do this as last resort.
Anyone care enough to share where you mount the ground lead terminal to the vehicle chasis?
Thank you

I hooked it up to the battery and the dealer didn't say anything when I brought it in for an oil change, it really depends on the dealer and how your service manager is. All the service managers at the dealer I go to mod their cars so they understand.
And I grounded it to the body of the car and it worked fine. Doesn't look too messy, I'll try to take some pictures for you.

If it is possible, could you take a picture where you ground the negative terminal to the car chasis? Any exisiting grounding terminal/screw i can use without creating new one? Thanks.

i tapped directly into the positive terminal. theres even a lil screw reserved for accessory items to tap into. for the negative.. i used one of the screws near the front driver side headlight. it's near the radiator and is already being used as an existing ground by something else.
