Default Ready to pull the trigger, is this a good deal in NorCal?

Hey all,

I have been looking at some of the pricing threads, but not everyone list the name of the dealership or what region they bought their IS in.

I am looking at the IS 250 RWD in Auto, with just the Prem Pkg, no Nav.

MSRP is ~33,900, Dealer is offering at ~31,900. Should I feel good about this?

If anyone can recommend a good dealership in the Bay Area (San Jose/San Francisco), it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I bought my 350 in stevens creek, for 2500 off MSRP, I thought it wasn't the best deal there is, but the package i wanted was "so rare", so i pulled the trigger. But i think the IS250 is more available, at least to my knowledge. So your 2000 off MSRP doesn't sound that great IMO.
You might want to shop around more. I know Stevens creek is the biggest dealer in the area. If you go to a dealer, try their "internet department", supposedly, they have more leverage when asking for approval from their managers. Also, You might want to try to deal with a fleet manager. For example, try to contact one of those reps from www.fleetrates.com see if they can give you closer to invoice.
good luck

i know for a fact that you can do better than 31900 in the bay area.... I agree with Sun3rgy you can get better deals right off the bat with fleet managers...I'm here in Az but originally from the bay, but i have people heading to some dealers doing some recon work this weekend.. i got qoutes from a couple dealers in the bay and i'm gonna see if how much they're willing to bend on price...the only place i haven't heard back from yet is the Fremont dealer... a buddy of mine bought his 01 or 02 IS300 there for a good deal.. plus he said they treated him fairly nice

but i may buy either here in az or back in the bay.. i'm scouting prices too... looking at threads and all that stuff.. i would agree with Sun3rgy again that 31900 price isn't all that great.. i wouldn't settle for it... and if there are no extras in it.. forget it

I bought mine at Lexus of Concord (east bay). I don't know how far that is away from you. I got the same car as the one you're considering (my work commute car). I offered $1250 over invoice and that became the final price. Goodluck.

Thanks. I am going to send them an email and see what I can find out. Do you remember your salesman?

Thanks. I left a message for the guy and I guess we will see. It would great to get a deal similar to yours. At 1250 over invoice, that would make the car just a tick over $30k. The best price I have at the moment is $31,350 ($2,600 below MSRP) which I think is fair. But if I can save an extra $1k ...yeehaw.
