I purchased my IS350 the first week that they came out in October last year. My window sticker says that the color is Black Pearl. I believe it's Smokey Granite Mica. Anyone else have "Black Pearl" on their window sticker?

Personally I like the sound of Black Pearl better than SGM.

Smokey the Bear sued Lexus not too long ago, hence the change. The settlement is the new LS460 for Smokey in "Black Pearl".

um, no. SGM has been around since the beggining. if the car is dark gray its SGM. if its black, well then its black. if the car is dark gray and the sticker says black thent he sticker is wrong

I have SGM is350 and when I signed up on the Lexus customer site and put in my vin. # , the color of the car came up Black.

I'm not doubting what your saying. Lexus could have changed the name early in the production, how are we to know? I know that I have a window sticker that says the paint is Black Pearl and wondered if anyone else did. My car is SGM I know that.
I have a friend that has a Tacoma truck that is Black Pearl, it looks like SGM. I'm wondering if it is possibly the same paint but different names between the Toyota and Lexus brands.

I just took a look at my IS350 on the Lexus Customer site and it says Black Pearl !. Very interesting.

SGM and Black Pearl are the same. Look at the color code on the door jamb. If it's 1G0 then it's SGM/Black Pearl. Try calling Lexus with that color code and order some touch up paint and they'll tell you they're ordering Black Pearl. Same thing, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. They most likely changed the name of the Black Pearl to SGM at the beginning of the year (on window stickers) so that people would not get confused between BP and Black Onyx. When I registered mine on Lexus.com it came up BP also.

The sticker is correct. Black Pearl and Black Onyx are two different colors. Black Pearl is the same as SGM

Yes, SGM is the same as Black Pearl.

I ordered the touch up paint (colored coded 1GO which can be found on the sticker of the door frame) and it says Black Pearl. If you look at the color of the car, doesn't SGM look at a black pearl?

You should be able to check the paint color codes of two to confirm they're the same if you wanna know for certain
