Default Window tint suggestions

Hey guys, I just bought a 2009 IS250 and am about to get it tinted. I am not sure whether to go 30 percent all around or 20 percent all around. It is black with black interior so idk if that makes a difference. i want it to be as dark as possible without running into trouble left and right. If any of you guys have had yours tinted and are happy with the way it looks or wish you had gone lighter or darker please let me know that as well as the percentage you got done. Thanks.

virginia is pretty strict with tints i think. i think it best you check with people from there. im in FL and people get away with limo tints.

I just checked and yes Virginia is very strict, so is Cali, however I have a black IS and I have 15% front and 5% rear.

I also have black on black. I have 35% fronts and 20% rears.

If you see a 5-0, open the lid of your sunroof and let some sun in the cabin.

I live in NYC.... And I already made an appointment to get tints next week. I have glacier frost mica and was wondering what % I should get for the 4 windows. What percentage looks good on a white car? I don't think I'm going to go any lower than 20% because I know I'll get pulled over...here in NY.

Here are pics of my car in the garage and in sunlight. I have 20% tint (3M Colorstable) and I really like it after having i for 3 months. For me 20% is perfect. My friend got 5% and its really difficult to see at night.

Agree. I have black on black with 20% all around. When I see cops I open the lid of the sunroof and it automatically gets lighter/brighter inside. If you want darkness, get 20%. 35% is a waste of time in my opinion. I did 35% for my 2013 Honda Accord Sport and there's a huge difference between the 2 vehicles.
