it's really NOT that difficult to change out the fog lights. i went in thru the fender well on both the driver and passenger sides. i even managed to install hid's w/o having to remove the bumper.

Yeah, should be able to replace the bulbs on both sides within a half hour tops. No need to go through the fender well on the drivers side when there is an access hole underneath.

Just in case inquiring minds want to know. This is the bulb I had in it. It was nice and "HID like", with a blue tinge. But it was not bright enough IMHO.

This is the yellow I put in it. (No, the blue bulbs you see in this pic, in the packaging is not the yellow bulbs just the packaging for the yellow bulbs)

Can somebody tell me where I can purchase these bulbs and how much they will cost? I just installed aerotect yellow fog overlays. They don't seem to be bright enough. Will these make them brighter?

lexuspdx,
Try http://www.365motorwerks.com/index.a...arch=GO&Page=1
They were at one of the meets, I think it was BOS. I ended up getting my Luminics JDM yellow bulbs from them. They even told me that they ran these bulbs in their headlights. They said it was legal to have yellow headlights. So, if their bright enough for headlights, then they should be bright enough for fogs. They worked out fine on the wifies car. See the pics in my DIY sticky.
Good luck,
-Will
Btw, I paid $25 for the bulbs. It shipped pretty fast too.

Let me know how everything works out. Post a pic or two on this thread too, after you get 'em in.

Default PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow

I wanted to get the PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow bulbs for my fogs, but was told the tabs on the side of the bulb (the ones used to lock/unlock the bulb into place) are a little too small

http://www.autobarn.net/piaionyellowhb.html

Anyone successfully install these?

The picture in the link you provided is a 194 wedge bulb, but the discription say they are 9005/9006. Not sure about the fitment of the PIAA 9006. I guess the only way to find out is to order them. Or you could just order the Luminics JDM yellow like I have on my wifes car. At $29, it would be alot cheaper than the $89 for the PIAA. Here is the link if your interested. http://www.365motorwerks.com/index.a...PROD&ProdID=85

Is $25 for one single bulbs or does it have 1-pair (2 bulbs)?

Do you know how long (bulb's life) will the bulbs last?

Thanks

That would be for the pair. Can't tell you how long the bulbs will last. But as long as you don't touch the glass while installing it, it should have pretty much the same life span of any automotive halogen bulb.

Default Hot

i got the Phillips bulbs and it has arating of 60Watts on it. It works fine but the bulb is hot from the moment its switched on. I nearly bunrt my finger just touching the fogligt casing. Isthis rating too high and will it damage the foglight? There is the MTEC bulbs which goes on 55Watts and is way cheaper, shud i use that?

Thanks
