How did yall manage to get those retainers off?! I can get the screws out but the retainers aren't budging. Please help, I just tinted my fogs and am ready to change the bulbs!

If your referring to the bigger piece in your picture as the retainer, you can just go ahead and pull hard on it, or wedge the trim removal tool or flathead inside it gently, then push it out away from the car. There probably just dirty making it a little harder to get off. Good luck

Yes, that is the piece i am talking about. I tried to pry the retainer off with a flat head and only managed to get the top clip semi off but the bottom part was still stuck. I'm scared to use too much force because I don't want to crack the piece.

Try spraying em down with some wd-40 to loosen em up. Also their pretty strong so don't be afraid to use some muscle. If they break it's not the end of the world since there's a number of them on there.

Clips didn't come out, so I just pulled the lining out with the clips attached.

Would the 2011 be the same as 09? No door under bumper?

This is what I'm saying. I not only don't have a door on the driver's side but my fender well clips look different than that as well...

I recommend going from the wheel well instead of the underside door anyway. I tried the underside door on my 06, theres so little room that I struggled for 20 min trying to take the bulb out. I finally gave up and went from the wheel well instead. Much faster and easier. You dont even need to remove the wheels, just turn your steering wheel all the way in the opposite direction for clearance. Works on both sides.

Default Front Wheel well replacement

Hi,
Here's one of my first posts. Suggestions are welcome.
I have a 2003 SC430 (130K) that I picked up used...and I'm quickly finding out it's the most awesome car in world.

The car was checked over by Lexus, and is fine under the hood. Just some cosmetic stuff.
The front bumper cover was dinged up and I figured I'd help the process by re4placing it myself before looking for a paint job.
I looked at aftermarket bumper covers, but soon realized it was easier to just buy one from the local dealer for roughly the same price.
After I took the bumper cover off I noticed some of the right front wheel well was ground away (by a tire) so I decided to just replace that along with some cracked plastic parts that attach to the bumper cover. Parts Geek had a wheel well that went from front to back and included the plastic pieces that were broken and it was $40 shipped.

So, after chocking the wheels, and taking the tire off to easily access the wheel well cover screws and clips...

The screws are easy enough. But with respect to what looks like straight push clips and some white square clips...yeah...I'm having some challenges taking off the clips. Any suggestions?
