Default Rear fogs (fog lights)??

Has anyone figure out how to enable the rear fog lights?? I can see that the space for the rear fogs is already there but most likely they are disabled for US market... I think i need a new switch to do this mode...

Any one knows??

Is there even a bulb in there for the USDM models? Most of the time, those would be wired up to turn on with the front fogs if I'm not mistaken.

itd be cool to be able to have them turn on even when fog is off.. so like they turn on when you turn on your night lights (low beam).

Nah... thats too bright and will confuse others for brake lights and when you really do step on the brakes they wont react and might ram you. I would like to have a switch so if someone is following too close I'll activate it and make it look like brake lights to get them to back off! or turn them on to annoy them so they'll back off.

I don't remember seeing light bulbs in there on pictures of the rear bumper (from posts on removing the rear for apron install).

Default rear fog light activate

You just have to turn or (forward rotation and release the ****) on the automatic headlight switch one more turn to activate rear fog-light. On your Tach. you'll see an indicator.

Ah... ya they're just as bright as brake lights... usually like on mercedes and audi its on one side of the tail lights... so the next time you see like 1 "brake light look a like" on a mercedes or Audi you kknow its not a faulty circuit... its the driver not knowing how to use their rear fog and accidently turned them on.

Default Rear Fog Lights.

I was actually thinking of doing this also. There is no hole for a bulb to fit into that spot in back of the tail light in the trunk lid. You would have to get a bulb socket and bulb and cut out a hole with a dremel. Not easy to do, since its not just a round hole. Has to have notches for the ears on the bulb socket to go into you can twist and lock it in place. I suppose, you could go to Kragens or Pep Boys and get a universal one that just pops into a round hole. But to me that would be kind of GHETTO. You would have to tap the wires into an existing brake light bulb, or wire it in with a switch to turn it on like a fog light. The US spec car that we have are not pre-wired for this. I don't have the time to try this right now. Let us know if someone can try it. Good luck.
