Cool

He ASKED for the opinions of those that voted No or Don't Care and that is what he is getting.

I voted No and my thoughts are they look a bit too ostentatious. That said, I think they look good in black on the BMW.

I voted NO to them. I think they look okay, just not my thing. From a maintenance stand point, they will end up being a ***** to keep clean, especially as much brake dust these cars make.

Thanks for all the feedback, positive and negative. I can tell that there's a lot of people that don't know too much about 3 piece wheels. 3 piece wheels are not cheap and Modulare wheels are not the cheapest, but certainly not the most expensive either. Although 3 piece wheels might seem like a waste of $$$ to some of you, they certainly have many advantages over the cheaper, cast iron wheels some of you seem to favor... for example, 3 piece wheels are lighter, stronger and in case of damage, you can replace the parts that were damaged instead of having to buy a new wheel...

There's really not much that can be done about the brake dust . The IS produces a lot of brake dust and it is something all of us have to deal with. I'm not too worried about the style of wheel I end up buying because I wash my car weekly and that should help me keep my wheels clean.

True dat . . . I used to have HREs on my cobra and LOVED them. Might go 3piece again . . . if the funds permit

These are the other wheels I've been considering, the Auto Couture Latives in 20". As you can see the design is similar to the Modulares in the sense that both are 10 split-spoke wheels. The Auto Coutures are also a bit cheaper than the Modulares . Enjoy!!!

I dont know if its your poor chopping skills or maybe just the chrome wheel, But i hated the way it looked in the first 2 pages of this thread but the Bimmer on the third page with the Gray on chrome looks really good and now im thinkin those would look sick on my SGM. Its probley the too much chrome i dont like. Also the rims are blurry and dont show the true patern like on the BMW. The lip also donesnt look over done and the size dont look over done on the BMW either. On the chop its to big, blurry, chrome and to much lip. If you dont go over board on those i things even the chrom might be ok, but for my 350 i would go for a gray inside with chrome Lip.

20" rims on a small car are rediculous, IMO. It's beyond me why anyone would sacrifice performance in the name of a particular look. Screw that...I'll keep my 5 second 0-60 time, thanks.

Although I prefer the Modulare M3's, the M4's are nice too. In fact, I like most of Modulare's designs. I almost pulled the trigger on 19" M3's, but I decided to get iForged instead. iForged wheels probably aren't as high-end as Modulare, but I can get them for about half the price. I can't wait to see your car with the M4's. You might be one of the first 2IS owners wearing these shoes. Good luck!

Hey Law,

I posted this thread a while back when I was trying to decide what wheels to buy, but I finally purchased a set of Auto Couture Latives in 20". I should receive them hopefully before the end of August

Alex,
Good luck with the wheels. You are the only one that has to like them. Unless there's a wife involved.

No luck needed Cliver I bought the wheels because I like them. It's OK if you don't like them, there are tons of wheel options out there, and each person gets whatever wheel design they like.
